When I'm feeling blue, there are two Websites, I have to admit, that can offer a pick-me-up with a single click.

One is EatLiver.com (subtitle, in crackpot English: Crazy Pictures of Insane Internet). It is just that: Bizarre photographs and graphics and arcana culled from trawling the Net.

The other is the 1920s Radio Network, out of Chesapeake, Virginia, offering songs from 1900 to 1950, 24 hours a day. Browse over to the site and you're transported to the Jazz Age.

Check out this piece on VanityFair.com about the very last roll of Kodachrome, shown frame by frame. The images were shot by Steve McCurry, of Magnum Photos--most famous for his National Geographic cover of an Afghan refugee girl (photographed on Kodachrome, of course).
